While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Palestinian Ministry of Health: Imminent catastrophe threatens thousands of patients in Gaza

Wednesday 16-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A senior official at Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has confirmed that an imminent health disaster is threatening the lives of thousands of patients in the Gaza Strip due to the acute and ongoing shortage of medicines and medical supplies.

Zakariya Abu Qamar, Acting Director General of Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated in press remarks that 47% of essential medicines are completely unavailable, while the shortage rate of medical consumables has reached 65%. This effectively means that nearly half of the pharmaceutical services in Gaza have become non-operational.

He pointed out that oncology and hematology services are among the most affected, with 67% of medications for these patients unavailable.

Abu Qamar also highlighted that more than 51% of primary care medicines for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and kidney failure are lacking, forcing patients to resort to less effective alternative treatments, potentially exposing them to serious complications.

He emphasized that the repeated displacement of patients due to the ongoing assault complicates the ability to monitor their health conditions or accurately assess the impact of the absence of treatment. However, initial indicators suggest rising rates of strokes and heart attacks and an increasing number of hospital admissions.

The director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Dr. Mu'hammed Abu Salmiya, announced that the hospital has suspended general services due to fuel shortages, noting that Al-Shifa will cease operations entirely within hours, while fuel at Al-'Hilou Hospital will last less than four hours.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has continued its genocidal campaign, committing massacres and war crimes against civilians, displaced persons, and Palestinian families in Gaza. This is accompanied by a tight siege, closure of border crossings, and prevention of fuel, medicine, and humanitarian aid from entering the Strip, along with cutting off electricity and water supplies.

UNRWA: One in 10 children in Gaza suffering from malnutrition

Wednesday 16-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has confirmed that one in every 10 children examined at its clinics in Gaza is suffering from malnutrition.

Juliette Touma, UNRWA’s Director of Communications, told journalists in Geneva via video link from Amman, Jordan: “Our health teams are confirming rising rates of malnutrition in Gaza, especially since the tightening of the blockade over four months ago.”

It is worth noting that the Israeli army today, Tuesday, demanded the immediate evacuation of residents from Gaza City and Jabalya to the south toward the Al-Mawasi area.

Medical sources in Gaza reported last Saturday that the number of children who have died from malnutrition so far has reached 67. They also noted that more than 650 children under the age of five face a real and imminent risk of acute malnutrition in the coming weeks, out of a total of 1.1 million children in Gaza.

The total blockade imposed by Israel on Gaza has now entered its 133rd consecutive day, since Israeli forces closed all border crossings in early March, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and fuel, in what is one of the harshest instances of collective punishment in modern history.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has continued its genocidal war on Gaza, resulting so far in the killing and wounding of more than 196,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, along with over 11,000 missing persons and severe famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children, all amid ongoing US support and persistent international silence.

Doctors Without Borders: A clear medical evacuation system must be established in Gaza

Tuesday 15-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Doctors Without Borders has warned that there is an urgent need to evacuate 12,000 people from the Gaza Strip to receive essential medical care.

In press statements on Monday, the organization called for the establishment of a clear medical evacuation system that guarantees Palestinians the right to return to Gaza after treatment.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.

The ongoing genocide has resulted in more than 195,000 people killed and wounded, most of them women and children; over 11,000 missing; hundreds of thousands displaced; famine that has claimed many lives, including children; and widespread destruction.

The Silent catastrophe: Al-Bursh reveals Gaza newborns tragedy

Tuesday 15-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Dr. Muneer Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said on Monday that in the besieged and war-torn Gaza Strip, it is not only homes being bombed, but even wombs are targeted, with life being extinguished before it begins.

In a post on his official account on X, Al-Bursh said that official health data from the first half of 2025 reveals the scale of the catastrophe facing mothers and newborns. He stressed that the war has crossed every red line, “to the extent that fetuses and infants have become invisible targets in this arena of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and efforts to erase the Palestinian people.”

He explained that the number of registered births in Gaza during the first half of 2025 reached 17,000, compared to 29,000 in the same period of 2022, a sharp decline of 41.4%. Al-Bursh described this abnormal drop in a young society like Gaza as reflecting the profound psychological, social, and health impacts of the war.

Among the cases recorded in 2025:

2,600 miscarriages, accounting for 15.3% of total pregnancies.

220 maternal deaths during pregnancy or before childbirth.

21 newborn deaths within the first day of life.

67 cases of birth defects (0.39%).

2,535 cases requiring neonatal intensive care (14.91%).

1,600 low birth weight cases (9.41%).

1,460 premature births (8.59%).

Al-Bursh emphasized that these numbers indicate a state of collective terror and a collapse of health and social systems. He described them as evidence of a deliberate policy to erase the Palestinian people through indirect means, calling it a “silent genocide” that translates into harrowing figures amid ethnic cleansing.

He noted that today, mothers in Gaza give birth under horrific humanitarian conditions, under bombardment, without clean water, proper nutrition, or medicine, affirming that every newborn’s cry is a miracle of survival in an environment unfit for life.

“This is not just a collection of statistics,” Al-Bursh said, “but about the lives of children who never had a chance to breathe and mothers giving birth amid fear, hunger, and siege.”

Israeli occupation army continues to kill, injure more civilians in Gaza

Tuesday 15-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued, last night and on Tuesday, to carry out deadly attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

According to local media sources, Israeli forces also continued today to detonate and bomb more homes and displace families in the Gaza Strip, further deepening the dire humanitarian crisis as the population grapples with worsening famine.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Gaza, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including Israeli attacks on a displacement encampment in Khan Yonus that killed and injured several people.

Civil defense workers retrieved the remains of three children from the house of the Nassar family in Al-Shati refugee camp, bringing the total number of martyrs from that home to 12.

Three civilians were also killed in an Israeli airstrike near the Sha'ban Al-Rayyis School in Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood of Gaza City.

Casualties, including martyrs, were reported following Israeli genocidal air strikes on two homes in A'hmed Fikri street in Jabalya Al-Nazla, north of Gaza.

The Israeli army also bombed a house belonging to the family of Arafat in Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood, killing and injuring a number of people.

Another Israeli attack on a house in Al-Zarqa neighborhood in northern Gaza killed three people and injured others.

Dozens of people were also martyred or injured in Israeli attacks on aid seekers near US-backed distribution points in southern and central Gaza.

The Israeli army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women.

Meanwhile, several Palestinians in Gaza were pronounced dead after they succumbed to injuries they sustained in recent attacks.

Tuesday 15-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

At least 12 Palestinians were massacred following two Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday afternoon in Gaza City’s Al-Shati refugee camp.

Later, Israeli warplanes targeted an apartment in Al-'Haramain building on Eidya street, south of Al-Shati refugee camp.

Medical sources reported that nine people were killed and more than 20 injured in the first strike, while three others were martyred and several wounded in the attack on the apartment. Among the victims of the first strike were five children and three young men, with some of the injured in critical condition.

54 civilians have been killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since early Tuesday, including 42 in Gaza City alone, according to medical sources.

Israeli genocidal air strikes kill 23 civilians across Gaza since dawn Tuesday

GAZA, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Twenty-three civilians have been killed since dawn on Tuesday in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across Gaza City, according to medical sources.

Among the casualties are three civilians who were killed in an Israeli drone strike near Sha'ban al-Rayyes School in the Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Civil defense teams said that 14 people remain missing beneath the rubble of a home in the Al-Zarqa area of Al-Tuffa'h, which was struck by Israeli warplanes on Monday. Rescue operations have been severely limited due to the absence of heavy machinery.

In Rafa'h, southern Gaza, local sources reported that two women were shot and killed by Israeli forces near the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution center west of the city.

Meanwhile, one civilian was killed in an Israeli strike that hit a tent near Jarar Al-Qidra School in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younus.

Israel kills equivalent of a classroom full of children each day in Gaza, says UNRWA

NEW YORK, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) -

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) estimated that since October 7, 2023, Israel, the occupying power, has been killing the equivalent of a classroom full of children each day, with the number of students ranging between 35 and 45.

“Every single day since the start of the war in Gaza, on average, a classroom full of children has been killed,” said Acting Director of UNRWA Affairs in Gaza, Sam Rose.

Before the outbreak of the genocidal war that turned the majority of UNRWA-run schools into shelters for displaced people, the number of students per classroom ranged between 35 and 45, depending on the level of overcrowding in the schools.

Children have paid a heavy price in the ongoing genocide committed by Israel for more than 21 months, during which over 18,000 children have been killed and about 16,854 of them have been admitted to hospitals, according to medical sources.

Children in the Gaza Strip also live a harsh reality due to repeated waves of displacement, as well as hunger and thirst resulting from the occupation’s policies of destroying food and water sources and blocking border crossings.

On July 8 of this year, UNRWA stated that children in Gaza make up half of the population (which totals 2.4 million), and their lives are marked by war and destruction.

The Israeli aggression on Gaza has left more than 197,000 civilians killed and injured, mostly children and women, with over 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced and famine that has claimed many lives, including dozens of children.

IOAR sentences a Palestinian Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) child to four years in prison

Tuesday 15-July-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IOAR) has issued a 4-year prison sentence against the Palestinian 15-year-old child, Abdullah Abu Dthiyab, from the Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) district of Silwan.

The child was sentenced to jail after spending 14 months of unjustified detention following his detention, on May 6, 2024.

The Asra Media Office condemned the 4-year prison sentence against Abu Dthiyab as “unjust,” pointing out that 2,464 prisoners in Israeli jails are from Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), including a large number of minors.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governor’s office also denounced the jail verdict against the child, calling it a “legal and moral crime,” accusing the Israeli occupation of systematically targeting the Palestinian Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) children and teenagers with the aim of destroying the Palestinian social fabric and forcing the young generations to leave the holy city.

161 house arrest orders have also been issued against Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) children since October 7, 2023, according to the governor’s office.

Israeli forces kidnap two Palestinians, assault others in Hebron

HEBRON, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday kidnapped two Palestinians and assaulted others in the southern occupied West Bank city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to local sources.

They said that the gun-toting soldiers stormed a factory belonging to Al-Jammal family in the southern part of the city, detained a family member along with his nephew, and assaulted several workers inside the factory, inflicting cuts and bruises across their bodies.

They added that four of the casualties were evacuated by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) to a hospital.

The Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

UN sounds alarm over largest West Bank displacement since start of Israeli occupation

GENEVA, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations has raised alarm over a surge in mass displacement across the occupied West Bank, describing it as the most severe since Israel began its occupation nearly six decades ago.

The UN said the ongoing Israeli military aggression, now entering its seventh month in the northern West Bank, has forced tens of thousands of Palestinians from their homes, prompting concerns of possible “ethnic cleansing.”

Spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Juliette Touma, stated that the military operation in the West Bank is the longest since the Second Intifada in the early 2000s.

Speaking to journalists in Geneva via video call from Jordan, she said what is happening is affecting numerous refugee camps in the region and is causing the largest displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank since 1967.

Meanwhile, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights warned that the mass forced displacement carried out by the occupation forces may amount to “ethnic cleansing.”

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the northern governorates of the occupied West Bank in January—specifically in Jineen and Toulkarm—around 30,000 Palestinians remain forcibly displaced,” according to Thameen Al-Kheetan, a spokesperson for the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

He added that during the same period, Israeli forces issued demolition orders for around 1,400 homes in the northern West Bank, describing the figures as “alarming.”

Al-Kheetan noted that Israeli demolitions have displaced 2,907 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank since October 2023.

He also stated that an additional 2,400 Palestinians— nearly half of them children—were displaced due to attacks by Israeli colonists, expressing regret that the cumulative outcome has been the emptying of large parts of the West Bank of Palestinians.

The permanent displacement of civilians within occupied territory constitutes an unlawful transfer of population, said Al-Kheetan, stressing that it may constitute “ethnic cleansing” and “a crime against humanity.”

He reported that 757 settler attacks were recorded in the occupied West Bank during the first half of the year, representing a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

He told reporters that these attacks injured 96 Palestinians in the occupied territories during June alone— the highest monthly toll in over two decades.

Since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, at least 964 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, according to United Nations data.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them performed provocative dances and Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.

Illegal Israeli settlers burn dozens of cars, assault Palestinian in the West Bank

Tuesday 15-July-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers set dozens of Palestinian vehicles ablaze and tried to set fire to two houses in Burqa village, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, on Monday night.

Chief of the village council Sa-il Kan'an said that several settlers stormed the western area of Burqa and set fire to an auto salvage yard containing dozens of cars, adding that the property belongs to a Palestinian citizen called Mohamed Saber.

Kan'an also said that Israeli forces stormed the area soon later and prevented Palestinian fire trucks from quickly extinguishing the blaze that spread to a nearby brushland, obstructing their work.

Local residents said they fended off the settlers after they carried out their arson attack on the car yard, adding that the settlers withdrew to their illegal outpost called Tzur Harel.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian citizen was injured on Tuesday morning when a group of settlers assaulted him in Masafir Yatta, south of al-Khalil. He was identified as Mousa Al-Nawaj'a.

In Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the Israeli municipality forced a Palestinian to demolish his own house in Wadi Qaddoum neighborhood, in Silwan district.

The homeowner, Mahir Al-Salayma, already received a notice from the Israeli municipality in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) ordering him to demolish his house at his own expense in order to avoid paying fines and demolition costs if municipal crews carried out the measure.

Hundreds of the Palestinian Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) homes are threatened with demolition or appropriation as part of Israel’s Judaization plans in the occupied holy city.

Illegal Israeli settlers, backed by Israeli army, attack Palestinian home north of Nablus

NABLUS, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers Tuesday attacked a Palestinian resident’s home in the village of Al-Nassiriya north of Nablus, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that colonists from a nearby illegal outpost, under the protection of the Israeli army, attacked the home of a Palestinian resident. However, no injuries were reported.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.

The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.

Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

UN official: 6,000 aid trucks at Gaza’s borders as current mechanism “completely failing”

Wednesday 16-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Juliette Touma, Director of Communications and Media at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), affirmed that the current mechanism for distributing relief aid in Gaza “is not working at all,” calling for a return to the previous system that allowed hundreds of trucks carrying food and essential supplies to enter daily.

Touma stressed that UNRWA continues to provide vital services to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank despite Israeli obstructions, including blocking entry visas for international staff. She said that around 6,000 trucks are currently stuck at Gaza’s borders.

Touma also noted that today’s situation in Gaza is incomparable to what it was before the war, destruction is widespread, security is absent, and residents’ needs far exceed just food, according to an interview with Al Jazeera.

Juliette Touma was appointed as UNRWA’s Director of Communications and Media in 2022, after holding various roles over 20 years, including as spokesperson for the UN mission in Syria during the peak of the conflict there, Head of Communications for the UN Development Program in Iraq, and having visited Gaza multiple times before and during the current war, according to UNRWA’s website.

Failure of the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”

Touma explained that the new food distribution system, overseen by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” “is not working at all,” providing only four distribution points at best, compared to over 400 points previously operated by UNRWA across Gaza before the war.

The “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” is a US-based company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, founded in February 2025. Reports suggest its creation was an Israeli idea developed since the beginning of Israel’s assault on Gaza in 2023, aimed at “undermining Hamas’s control and preventing aid from reaching it,” confining aid to Israeli-controlled areas, and disconnecting Gazans from Hamas financially and materially, according to Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

Touma — who holds a master’s degree in media and communications from the University of London, said life in Gaza before the war, despite over 15 years of blockade, was more adaptable: people could fish, farm, and UNRWA was supporting one million people with food aid.

Today, however, destruction is massive, people have been displaced repeatedly, even UNRWA shelters can no longer accommodate the displaced, and the entire food security system has collapsed.

Touma pointed out that Gazans now need more than just food; they require security, medicines, hygiene items, fuel, clean water, and child nutrition supplies.

UNRWA Never Stopped Working

When asked about claims that UNRWA ceased operations in Gaza, Touma emphasized that UNRWA never stopped working there despite all circumstances, with over 10,000 Palestinian staff continuing to provide services.

Touma, who previously worked with civil society organizations in culture, arts, and music, said UNRWA health teams in Gaza are offering around 15,000 consultations daily, while hundreds of thousands visit UNRWA clinics in the West Bank.

She also revealed that one in every ten children assessed in UNRWA clinics in Gaza suffers from malnutrition and that teams continue screening children, providing support, managing shelters for displaced families, supplying clean water for half of Gaza’s population, and continuously removing sewage and waste.

Touma noted that the academic year recently concluded in the West Bank, with about 40,000 students completing their studies at UNRWA schools despite current conditions.

But a major challenge facing UNRWA today is Israel’s refusal to issue entry visas for its international staff, preventing them from supporting their Palestinian colleagues and enhancing their ability to continue working under ongoing challenges, Touma said.

6,000 Trucks Await Entry

Since October 2023, Israel has intensified its efforts to dismantle UNRWA’s role, culminating in the Knesset voting overwhelmingly at the end of October to pass a law banning UNRWA from operating in occupied Palestinian territories, revoking its privileges and diplomatic immunity, and ordering the evacuation of its international staff from East Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank — an unprecedented move against the UN’s largest humanitarian organization serving over 6 million Palestinian refugees.

Touma highlighted that around 6,000 trucks loaded with medicines, food, and essential supplies are stuck just steps away from Gaza, in Egypt and Jordan, urging their immediate entry to save lives.

Despite the aid piling up at Gaza’s borders, nearly one million children urgently need assistance, she said. Touma called for resuming aid flows as they were before the war and during ceasefires, with the same volume, between 500 and 600 trucks per day under UN supervision, primarily UNRWA.

In concluding her remarks to Al Jazeera, Touma stressed that UNRWA remains the largest humanitarian organization operating in Gaza and capable of managing relief operations if allowed to work, affirming that lifting the blockade and restoring the humanitarian system are essential to saving Gaza’s residents and children.

These statements come amid an ongoing Israeli assault approaching two years, during which most UN agencies have ceased humanitarian work in Gaza. Recently, a US proposal to task the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” with managing aid distribution has faced widespread skepticism from international organizations, citing its lack of experience and operational capacity compared to UNRWA’s well-established historic role in the Strip.

The humanitarian system in Gaza faces unprecedented challenges amid the continued blockade and the prevention of tens of thousands of tons of aid and medical supplies from entering, as international calls persist for the resumption of UN operations, an immediate end to the war, and the facilitation of sustained, orderly flows of humanitarian and commercial aid into Gaza.

Gaza institutions: EU statements on opening crossings are inaccurate

Tuesday 15-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Civil society and community organizations in the Gaza Strip have rejected claims made by the European Union’s representative in Palestine, Alexander Stutzmann, regarding Israel’s alleged opening of crossings and the entry of aid and goods into Gaza, affirming that “these claims have no basis in reality.”

In a press statement, the organizations called on the European official to review his statements and verify his information through an on-the-ground visit to the crossings to witness the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe facing Gaza’s residents amid the ongoing Israeli siege.

The statement emphasized that Israel continues its deception, allowing only a very limited and irregular number of trucks to enter, leaving famine conditions in place—especially among the most vulnerable groups, including the sick, children, women, and particularly pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

The civil society organizations urged the European Union to exert “genuine pressure” on the Israeli occupation to fulfill its commitments, instead of relying on “false promises and misleading statements,” warning that any position that misrepresents the reality amounts to “a direct cover for the crime of starvation affecting nearly 2.5 million people in Gaza.”

On 10 July 2025, Israel and the European Union reached an agreement to open additional crossings and increase the entry of trucks carrying food, fuel, and medical supplies into the Gaza Strip in an attempt to alleviate the worsening famine affecting about 2 million civilians.

The agreement included the deployment of an EU monitoring mission at the crossings in coordination with the Palestinian Authority, as well as the resumption of critical facilities like water desalination plants.

However, as reports from organizations operating in Gaza highlight, these promises have yet to materialize on the ground as the number of trucks entering the Strip remains insufficient to meet the population’s needs, their entry is irregular, and they are subject to strict Israeli control.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
